LSD

LSD

LSD comes from Lysergic Acid Diethylamide and it was made for the first time in 1938 by two chemists from Switzerland, Albert Hofmann and Arthur Stoll from a fungus called ergot. Actually they discovered accidentally its properties when one of them ingested some of the drug they had created. It is considered the most powerful conscious-altering substance known to man.

LSD is a hallucinogenic drug and it is available in liquid or tablet form, on a piece of paper or a sugar cube. Usually is taken orally and has a slightly bitter taste. On thr street is also called “acid”, “boomer”, “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds”, etc.

Derived, as I have mentioned, from ergot fungus, LSD is a very powerful synthetic psychedelic, the doses being measured in micrograms (ug) or millionths of a gram. One ounce of LSD contains enough doses for 300,000 adults. LSD is colorless, tasteless and odorless and usually comes soaked into blotters – squares or sheets of paper decorated with kooky designs (sunflowers, strawberries, rockets etc).

There are several brands of LSD, many of them with a kind of mythologycal colour in their names, like “Oh Sunflowers and Rockets are really powerful”. You can never be sure how much LSD you are taking, since LSD degrades rapidly on exposure to light, air and heat, and the amounts involved are microscopic. The potency of LSD depends on the batch made. The average amount taken at one time is approximately 60 micrograms.

LSD is not usually tested for in standard drug tests. It will show up in a urine test for up to three days after use. As for LSD detox, it should be supervised by trained personnel for safety reasons. Because of the tiny amounts involved and its rapid removal from the body, it is very difficult to detect. LSD usually disappears from the urine within 24-48 hours

We strongly recommend to everyone reading this article to stay out of LSD abuse, however, if you or someone close to you have problems with LSD addiction, we suggest you to visit DrugRehabServices.com.
