Ecstasy is the name under it is known 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine or MDMA. Although it is not derived from a natural substance, it is one of the most popular drugs all over the world. Its name comes from the sensation of euphoria that most users experience when taking the drug.

As composition, ecstasy is a combination of methamphetamine or amphetamine and hallucinogen, and appeared in the early 80s.
