Morphine is considered as one of the most important ingredients of opium and a prototypical Opioid. It acts directly on the principal nerve system that relieves the pain. It is a very powerful drug and effective one that works as an efficient painkiller. However, people often use it the way it should not be; they use morphine to get high relive.

Morphine has the power to decrease the pain and numbing the nerve system. People who take morphine or heroine find it really enjoying. It is kind of an intuitive or the spiritual feeling as the addicted say. The people who take morphine regularly, which means they are addicted to it, get the feeling of euphoria, ambitiousness, getting high, sleep, drowsiness, relaxation etc.

Morphine is highly addictive though some studies say that the addiction can be overcome very easily. However, it is a gradual process to get rid of it. For example, they have set a morphine addicted rat in a very friendly environment and the rat has overcome the addiction. It might not work for men but who knows, it might even work. Whatever the fact is morphine addiction is no good as it gradually increases the tolerance which means if anyone uses it indiscriminately the person might lose some portion of his feelings.

Getting addicted to something is never good, and it is especially not good if it is morphine addiction. The morphine addiction usually occurs before the next dose and people who are addicted to morphine do not wait for that long. Morphine addiction can cause severe narcotic feelings and insomnia. Later the victim has to take morphine, even if he does not want to as without the drug it might be impossible for the subject to sleep or concentrate on other stuffs. So it might take a long time to get rid of morphine drugs, but surely it is not impossible.
