When an individual uses drugs regularly some of the chemicals produced in their body are eventually replaced by drugs. Once the individual doesn’t get a dose of the drug, which now act as a substitute for the relaxation of their body – a person’s craving increases to unimaginable extents and the drug abuse addiction overwhelms even their natural ethics. This state of craving, especially when the chemicals are replaced by drug substances is called drug dependency.

Even though the meaning of drug addiction can be intricate and it merely depends on the drug we would be referring in context, usual drugs that are addictive, such as alcohol and nicotine – cocaine, heroin and so forth are the most dangerous ones.

Drug dependency can vary from an individual drug to the other. The most harmful and dangerous sorts of drugs which are highly addictive eventually need medical treatment. Heroin and Cocaine are two examples of such dangerously addictive drugs. A drug addict who has been consuming cocaine will get emotional, fatigued, depressed and agitated if he doesn’t get a dose. Physical experiences include the irregularity of heart beat and being over sensitive to pain – but the basic factor (which at times the drug addict can evil kill for) is a craving to get another dose.

A bit of research has identified that there could be a genetic predisposition to addiction, however this theory is uncertain and remains litigious to date. Other factors include the environment people live in, for example students going to schools where drugs are common may be eventually posed in to becoming drug addicts through peer pressure. Other people just seek drugs to have their mind lose its functionality and sleep away all their stresses and worries. A certain percentage of people who have been divorced or previously hurt in affairs are also known to have taken drugs as a term of seeking refuge.
